soliloquy

cerulean bloom

Cerulean bloom, mirrors the sky's embrace,
Plucked from the earth, a fleeting grace.
Your fragrance held me captive,
The fragile life I didn’t notice.

My clumsy hands drowned you with rain,
Blind to your own needs,
Entangled you in my design,
To care for you is a silent, losing scene.

My eager touch, now hesitant and slow,
Watering became a duty, hollow show.
Doubt's grip tightened to drain your vibrant soul,
Whispers of faded blue as your petals fall, slow.

As the day goes, my efforts waned and frayed,
Your cerulean hues whispered a final goodbye,
Nurtured, yet life slipped, unseen, unheard,
One Thursday, without a trace, a silent sigh.
A bitter truth carried by the gentle breeze,
Love cannot bind what yearns for freedom.
